Alexander “Alex” is a Partner in our Firm’s New York office. His practice focuses on insurance coverage defense and commercial litigation, counseling domestic and international insurers in a wide range of complex insurance coverage disputes under various insurance policies such as: commercial general liability, commercial auto liability, professional liability, builder’s risk, and umbrella/excess liability policies, as well as first-party insurance claims. Alex has extensive experience in coverage issues spanning the nation including the federal courts. With this experience, Alex adds valuable knowledge and skill in addressing our clients’ needs and achieving our clients’ goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Prior to joining Salmon, Salmon, Labbe & Dehne, Alex worked extensively on coverage issues in state and federal courts and the Multi-District Litigation related to PFAS and other environmental pollution matters. In addition, he has worked on asbestos matters in New York courts. His experience in pre-litigation handling, litigation, mediations and arbitration provides our clients with the tools to handle a matter from first notice to resolution.

In addition to his insurance coverage experience, Alex worked in the area of commercial litigation, representing clients in disputes regarding contractual and other issues related to construction matters. Additionally, he has represented homeowner’s associations, co-ops, and condominium boards.

With Alex’s litigation experience, which includes dispositive motion practice and appellate work, Alex is able to thoroughly identify issues and provide accurate coverage analyses to our clients and prepare strategic plans to achieve positive results, which includes implementing and executing his suggested plan of action. Alex’s contributions allow our Firm to provide more of what our clients have come to expect from us, great results.

Alex is licensed in New York State, the Federal Districts of Eastern and Southern New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and has practiced in the asbestos hot-spot of America in South Carolina, as well as other States where his clients have needed representation. Through this country-wide experience, Alex understands the intricacies of large-scale insurance coverage litigation and the issues that arise between defendant-insurers. With this experience on our team, we are better equipped to handle large-scale, industry-wide matters in the most cost-effective and results-driven manner our clients have come to depend on and expect.
