Sergio C. Muñiz, Jr., is an associate primarily focusing his practice on first party property claims and third-party liability representing insurance companies and insureds in third-party liability matters. He has extensive experience in many types of property damage claims, from pre-suit through jury trials. While with Groelle & Salmon, he secured a directed verdict in Indian River County on a third-party liability claim for a residential homeowner. He also has experience representing sureties in construction payment and performance bond litigation involving all types of public and private construction projects, including construction litigation. In addition, his practice involves Federal government contracts, claims, contractor disputes, bid protests before the GAO and prime/subcontractor disputes. He has extensive experience in Federal government claims and contract litigation before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and various agency board of contract appeals. He has also defended contractors against government claims.

Mr. Muñiz also has experience representing creditors in bankruptcy court, including litigating in adversary proceedings enforcing creditor’s rights.

Mr. Muñiz served in the Air Force as a JAG Officer, attaining the rank of Major.
